We loved staying at The Rest! Style on Steep Hill. Perfect. X
Beautiful,place to stop for a coffee,and recover from the hill ,steep hill is full of lovely old shops and old charm ,but the clue is in the title,it's really steep ,and by half way down a coffee is needed and The rest is the perfect place to have it .
My husband and I were so very excited about staying a night at The Rest for our 15 wedding anniversary . We paid a lot of money for one night and we excepted a little bit of luxury ! Firstly we had to wait at the reception to be served which was fine , and then finally we were taken to our room which was located at the bottom of the building , it was boiling , stuffy and had a window which we couldnt even look out because we had to have the blind closed . I expected so much more ! And I was extremely upset as we had had this planned for months . The bathroom was small and pokey without a mirror light . No robes or anything that made it feel luxurious . There was only one bedside table and my husband and I were very disappointed and upset that we had spent so much money on this room . Lets just say it wasnt to start of our romantic night that we expected !
Super-friendly staff, but not intrusive. Great location, and the room was both immaculate, and quirky. There's a Nice full English Brekkie, to finish off. If there's a better way to spend a Sunday morning, than read the paper, eat bacon and drink coffee, I don't wanna know. Good job!
