Reliably basic and good value. Great pools and fitness facilities at Anytime Fitness nearby. Windmill pub and Frankie and Bennys next door but otherwise a long way from anywhere if you're on foot - although you're unlikely to be on foot in this location.
Clean soundproof dble room, en suite shower; staff really friendly. Dinner was well presented and tasty. Well priced.
Excellent service and excellent value for money
Staff were rude and unhelpful. A member of staff approached the person who was checking me in and interrupted us. The person checking me in then just handed me my key and receipt without direction to my room, advice on if or when breakfast would be available or even looking at me as he was engaged in the conversation with his colleague. On checking out, the staff were short with me as I had declined breakfast (which would have come at an extra cost).The room was not properly maintained. There was no screen or curtain on the shower and the bathroom light switch was broken, meaning that I had to use the inner workings of the switch to turn the bathroom light on. This is dangerous. The undersheet was not fitted to the mattress, but to the mattress topper, leaving the mattress exposed. This is unhygienic.
Perfect hotel for us with the dog. Super friendly staff and our little pooch loved it. And the bar was really decent for a hotel bar although they could do with getting some craft beer in (ideally Brewdog)
