We stayed at The Old Palace Lodge for the weekend. On arrival we were pleasantly surprised at how beautiful this accommodation is. The receptionist was very welcoming and showed us to our room. A well decorated room with ample space. The Lodge is situated just down the hill from the Cathedral and the walk is less than 5 minutes also to the left is the castle also 5 minutes away. The little boutiques, shops and bars on the hill are fantastic and all minutes away. It is the perfect position to visit the town with secure parking. Breakfast was served in a beautiful room with a stained glass window. We were greeted by the most attentive lady very friendly and couldn't do enough to make the breakfast perfect. Lots of choice and a delicious cooked English breakfast. We would definitely recommend staying here and have already booked for Christmas 2019!!
Our stay from arrival to departure was the most pleasurable experience. The staff were extremely helpful and the room was warm,comfortable, clean and well provided for. Would definitely stay again.
Stayed in a deluxe double and it was beautiful; old period features combined with modern facilities. Breakfast included and good value for money. Will definitely return again.
Our stay was perfect for one night in a lovely old quirky building. Staff are very welcoming, polite and friendly. The room was clean, warm and comfortable as was the bed/pillows. Breakfast was cooked really nice and a good choice to choose from. Coffee was good and the dining area was lovely with the Chapel windows. Overall our stay was lovely and the location was excellent! We would stay here again and will!
We had a stunning room. With a beautiful bathroom behind of church doors with tropical shower free standing bath. Loved it x
