Just got back from an appointment with my son (17) My son is on the autistic spectrum, has had depression for years and has attempted to take his own life in the past. He barely eats and his weight loss is heartbreaking to see. I have tried and tried to get my son on antidepressants to no avail. We have been referred to CAMHS 2-3 times in the past where he has a few pointless chat session and is then discharged. I was hoping finally that todays appointment would be the 'enoughs enough' appointment and he would finally get the medication he needs but once again my son has been denied the help. Its quite bizarre that a doctor can tell you they are "CANT" prescribe my son medication, absolutely ridiculous!!!! My Son would legally be able to drive a car yet when wanting certain medications is still seen as a child, again absolutely ridiculous! Yet another referral to CAMHS pending which will take weeks, more irrelevant pointless 'chat' sessions over yet more weeks and then the usual discharge. Months will pass as they have in the past and my sons situation and mental health will continue to decline which as his mother I know will happen, I see it every day! I only hope my son manages to hold it together and not do anything stupid! I will hold CAMHS AND this medical practice responsible if god forbid anything happens to him. I'm absolutely disgusted with the doctors attitude today, my son needs medical help, your a doctor able and obliged to give medical help and you denied him that help! Shame on you!
Awful. Left waiting over an hour once. Letters arrived with forms missing. Poor communication. My doctor was extremely rude and abrasive. This practice is very unhelpful and poorly organized.I left this practice a few months ago and I'm glad I did. The service I'm receiving at different practice is substantially better.
Awful, always running late and when the receptionist is asked regarding the delay the response is just plain rude, also I think their use of multiple exclamation marks on notices is a tad immature
