Total rip off, we paid to park for 2 hours and we received a fine because they think we only paid for half an hour. They have rejected our appeal and given us a rushed and inaccurate response.DO NOT PARK HERE they will rip you off.
Good central car park, close to high street. Rough surface, no marked bays, fills quickly.
NCP are disgraceful. Be warned parking in any NCP!On 25th July I used NCP car park at St Rumbolds Lincoln.I arrived before 9am and parked on a row of cars. I came back to my car at 12:30 (midday) from College and my car was completely boxed in. The cars had parked 3 abreast so the middle row of cars was stuck. Note, the car park also does not have lines marked for parking.I called customer services at 12:40 and was advised an attendant would come to see me in the car park. I ended up calling 6 times before Kev the car park attendant arrived, just before 15:00, and he told me hed just come on shift and all his car parks were about 5 minutes away!I was stuck waiting in that car park for two and a half hours waiting for an attendant to arrive. I couldnt leave the car park in case the attendant arrived and the one or two cars that parked incorrect did leave, I then had to stop many others from parking there too, if the attendant had arrived he could have managed the situation instead of me!. It was 27c and I had to stand in the direct sun, getting sunburnt. I couldnt sit in the car as it was too hot. I had no water or food and couldnt leave to get any.Each time I spoke to customer services I was told hes on his way hes 10 minutes away Hes 20 minutes away we cant get hold of him. This was probably the most frustrating thing for me. I ended up calling 101 to get advice from the police. They tried to trace the driver of the car blocking me and called NCP as well. Only The last NCP customer services advisor, on call #5, asked for my registration number to investigate the issue, as no one previous to this had asked for that, I guess non of my calls about the issue had been formally logged!Kev the attendant did issue fines to all the cars parked incorrectly, and I eventually got out of the car park at 15:44 as the van next to me was able to leave as the car in front of them left.I asked or compensation and a refund for the fact I kept being told an attendant was coming and he didnt for over 2 and a half hours. Meaning I couldnt leave the car park and got sunburned and dehydrated waiting.I was offere a mere 10. Disgusting.
