A great place to visit in Lincoln, some great exhibits with local history. We were greeted with a friendly welcome in the entrance. Lots to look at for all ages and even interactive exhibits. Just loved the video about Daphne the tank and fascinated to find out just how important the development of the tank in Lincoln was! Ended our visit with a trip to the cafe and a browse of the book sale in the cafe.(staff again very friendly)Well maintained museum in a central location. Just the other side of the castle so a short cut through the grounds and you are almost there. Plenty of parking outside if you are driving.

Very interesting place, good selection of things to see, very small cafe area, serving tea, coffee etc, and a few drinks and rolls. Friendly staff and good school education programme. Small outdoor children's play area. No baby toys. Not sure about a baby change area. Lift to upper floors. Few bookshelves selling second hand books.

I really enjoyed visiting here. Spent approx 2 hours looking around but in fact I could have spent a day here. Lots of things from my childhood on display so a good trip down memory lane. Obviously everything is about Lincolnshire life through the ages, and but you do not have to be from Lincoln to enjoy this museum. Even better still, it is free, although any donations are accepted. I heartily recommend a visit.

The museum gives a real taste of life 100 years ago. Very informative and, most important, interesting.Would highly recommend a visit.

We are heading there now and have been before. Brilliant place for all ages. Parking and entrance free but ask for a donation which we're happy to give. Informative sections of life in Lincolnshire (obviously) with gift shop, a room full of second hand books to buy, cafe and a lovely playground for the kids. Interactive sections too, dress up for kids (and adults if you're feeling a bit cheeky) Brilliant little place for our family on a budget. Staff have been lovely the few times we have been. Definitely reccomend x
