A holiday home park with self cater accommodation from static vans to quality brick built buildings. The fishing is excellent and the banks of the lakes are well keep. Close to two public houses, post office/store. Now having a large expansion being created to accommodate three more lakes, statics and lodges, looking fantastic.
Had a wonderful holiday there. Out of way of shops. We stopped in the Grange . Was a home from home. Big back garden for kids to play in. With Apple and Pear trees. The kids loved feeding ducks.Hoping to go back again.
Staff very friendly, cottage was a touch dated but in keeping with its age and it did us proud. The fishing itself is spot on. Day 2 on willow lake I bagged 45 carp in 14 hours totalling well over 300lb. Most carp are 5lb plus and have some lovely ghostys in their. All the people that live or holiday on the site are extremely friendly, a good sense of community. It was a fantastic week and we will be back.I do think the site could benefit from an on-site cafe which would also be a great money earner. Also when staying for a week a change of towels mid way through the break would have been expected. Other than this a fantastic stay with quick easy check in and out. :)
